Iris is our local chapter of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls—a youth organization where girls learn by doing.
Members plan activities, support charities, practice public speaking, travel, celebrate one another and form friendships across New Jersey and beyond. Every girl can start exactly where she is.

Supporting Alzheimer’s research
Fundraising throughout the term—including our Thanksgiving pie sale—will help Dahlia turn a cause close to her heart into meaningful support.
Friendship across generations
Through letters, cards, visits and shared celebrations, Iris will build an ongoing friendship with residents of the Eastern Star Home.

Rainbow welcomes girls ages 11–20 from every race and religious background. You don’t need a Masonic family connection, special skills or a perfect speech—just curiosity and a parent or guardian who says yes.

Parents usually
want to know…
What do the girls actually do?+
They plan events, lead meetings, volunteer, fundraise, travel, practice public speaking and make a lot of memories together. The exact mix changes with each girl-led term.
Is Rainbow a religion?+
No. Rainbow teaches values and welcomes girls from different faith backgrounds. Families can ask the local advisory team about ceremonies and expectations before joining.
Do we need a Masonic connection?+
No. Girls do not need a relative in the Masonic family to join. Iris can help an interested family through every step of the process.
Can we visit before deciding?+
Absolutely. A social activity or public event is a comfortable way to meet members and advisors before making any commitment.
